Our family is preparing for our ministry focus at Perry Correctional Institution this next week. Please continue to pray for this focus!
We will be spending just under forty hours with approximately fifty inmates and about twenty-six volunteers to assist us. I’m excited about the experienced volunteers who are capable in leading group discussions, as well as being trained in individual counseling. I believe this will be a powerful time of leading these incarcerated men to greater places of healing in their lives.
Since this is a men’s prison, Cindy and the girls won’t be as involved as they would be in a women’s facility. Both Cindy and Alisha have had significant health challenges recently, so please join with us in prayer for renewed health and strength during this 10-day tour. We have already seen the hand of God at work in their lives, and we are certain He will continue leading us.
We also believe the enemy isn’t happy with this kind of focus. I believe men will experience emotional and spiritual healing and will be set free from burdens that have strangled their hearts for years. Please pray for each inmate, volunteer, instructor, chaplain, officer, and warden of the prison. Pray that the powers of evil and bondage would be pushed back and that men would regain the territory in their souls that have been surrendered to Satan. We are praying that towers of truth will be established in place of the Enemy’s strongholds.
We’ll be sending daily video updates next week from Sunday through Thursday while we’re at the prison. If you want to receive these updates, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and write “5 Days of Purpose updates” on the email. You will not get these updates if you are only on our regular email list.
If you believe in this focus and would like to support the work we’re doing in the prison this week, follow this link and note “5 Days of Purpose” in the donation instructions.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers!
Because of Jesus,
