Wow! It’s hard to believe January is behind us and it is February already. Life continues to rapidly move along. Are we making the most of it?
In our daily lives, as you and I hear from God and then obey Him, there are great things that He will do. Many times I hear from God, but listening (with intentional discernment) and then fully surrendering, even when it seems “outside the box”, is where I often struggle. I’m thankful for God’s continued grace and mercy in my life.
Our first tour with the bus has went amazingly well so far. The private shower and the bunk area in our “tiny house on wheels” has taken so much stress out of our day-to-day activities. If you look at it as your house, it seems “tiny,” but when you look at it as a motorhome, it seems huge. Last week during our “From Pain to Purpose” meetings, I was able to be up early and close the bunk room door while doing office work and making phone calls. And it didn’t disturb anyone at all. The bus is so well designed for our family and for how we use it. Ours hearts are filled with gratitude for the privilege to be in this vehicle. Daily, we are discussing how thankful we are for some aspect about it! Thank you to each of you who helped make it possible. We are humbly grateful.
It was such a joy last week to interact and walk with many who have faced life’s challenges, yet are choosing to respond with godly faith. During the concluding service, the response time went for over an hour as many openly shared their personal struggles and we then gathered around to pray for them. When we, as a body of believers, become open and vulnerable, it is amazing how God gives us His strength and victory.
The Gospel Express prison crusade begins on Sunday. Please pray for the ministry families, evangelists and volunteers who will be ministering within the prisons of South Carolina. Also pray for the inmates and prison staff who will be impacted by this evangelistic focus. There are over twenty prisons participating across the entire state of South Carolina. Our family is excited for the privilege of again sharing hope and Jesus with those behind bars.
Until next time,
Duane
