Recapturing Austin’s Final Days 10/31/11

….”But the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express”….

So often we have “groans that words cannot express” but it is so comforting to know that God hears and understands these groans. The burdens of our spirit and the sorrow we feel may seem to crush us but our loving Father hears, understands, receives and then also separates from our prayers the things that are imperfect or wrong. We may be troubled with burdens too complicated to express or even understand. How sweet and comforting it is to then fall into the embrace of our Father’s loving arms and to simply sob out the deep sorrows that we cannot even express!

I was challenged in my devotional time today with some of these quotes….

“There are many blessings we will never obtain if we are unwilling to accept and endure suffering. There are certain joys that can come to us only through sorrow”….

Another person once quoted…”I have learned to love the darkness of sorrow, for it is THERE that I see the brightness of God’s face.”

Although we would never have chosen to walk the journey that our family has been on, especially the last year, we savor how real God’s presence has been to us and how great our longing is for heaven.

Thank you for your many prayers and all the love that is directed our way. We feel very unworthy of it all.

Because of grace,

Cindy (for The Mullett family)
