Dear Friends,

Well, the banquets are now behind us and we are enjoying the privilege of being at home again with no traveling plans until Tuesday of next week. The time always goes by so fast and yet we always seem to be ready when it is time to “hit the road again”. The girls have been able to focus on their school work and their piano and violin lessons as well. I have been working on our book orders and other paperwork that seems to threaten to over take us at times! =)  I also enjoy when I can spend time in my kitchen again and we enjoyed a fresh batch of homemade bread yesterday. Tomorrow, I will be busy in the kitchen again as we prepare to spend Thanksgiving day with Duane’s family.

As I reflect a bit about thankfulness, I think about how we expect so many things from God. I used to think that God would protect me from “bad” things because, after all… I was serving Him. I had hoped that my skies would always be fair but I have experienced much rain and clouds instead! I believe that when trials come my way, it is so that I can learn to trust my Savior more completely. He wants me to trust and not be afraid. It is only through my struggles that I am qualified then to assist others who are being tossed by their storms. It is better for me to experience these storms because through them I realize that His grace is magnified, I have the opportunity to mature in His image and heaven is so much sweeter to me! So…in EVERYTHING give thanks!

Our family is attempting to grow in our attitudes of gratefulness in our every day walk of life. God bless you as you also make “thanksgiving” a daily attitude in your life.

Because of Jesus,

Cindy (for The Mullett family)
